Nye County Emergency Management was notified Tuesday of a second positive case for the Coronavirus (COVID-19) within the County. The patient is male and in his 40s and lives in Amargosa Valley. The positive test was confirmed through a private clinic. The patient is self-quarantined in his home. Emergency Management has made contact and is continuing to investigate the source of the infection and retracing his movements for the past few weeks.
The public is urged to follow the governor’s guidance and Stay Home for Nevada.
Last week, state health officials cleared the Beatty resident who had tested positive for COVID-19 from self-isolation, the only other positive test result in the County to date.
