Treasurer’s Trust Auction results exceed expectations

The annual Treasurer's Trust Land Auction held this week saw 79 percent of the offered properties sold.
According to Treasurer Pam Webster, 149 of 188 properties sold in the Pahrump area auction held Wednesday, April 18, raising $621,991.
Six of eight properties listed in Tonopah and Northern Nye sold on Monday, April 16, for $59,872.
Webster said the Treasurer's Office would be requesting to have an auction in the next 6-8 weeks to try to auction some properties from previous auctions that didn’t sell.
The Treasurer's Office received many compliments on the efficiency and handling of the auction and processing of paperwork.

The Nye County Sheriff's Office provided security during the auctions as well as escorts for taking the money back to the Treasurer’s Office and the bank for deposit.

"The professionalism of all who were involved was appreciated and noticed by all," Webster said.
