PAHRUMP, Nev. - The Homestead Road Improvements Project is scheduled to be completed in mid-February.
The re-build project covers approximately 1 mile from Gamebird Road to Manse Road. Homestead has remained open during construction. There will continue to be periodic delays at the Homestead intersections at Gamebird and Manse roads, as well as at Jeane Avenue.
The January rain that brought nearly a 0.75 inch of rain to the area pushed the project a day. The unexpected relocation of some underground utilities has also pushed the end date for completion into mid-February.
The Board of Nye County Commissioners awarded the $1.8 project to Pahrump-based Wulfenstein Construction during the board's regular meeting September 19, 2017. Road work began November 8, 2017.
